NBG (Malta) Holdings Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of NBG International Holdings B.V. (Company registration no. 34231579), a company incorporated in the Netherlands which in turn is wholly owned by National Bank of Greece S.A. The Board of Directors of NBG Bank Malta consists of three directors, including the Chairman. The current directors of the company are: Mr. Georgios Agioutantis (CEO) Mr. Anastasios Lizos (Non Executive Director) and Mr. Thomas Zampopoulos (Independent Board Member) The Bank is designed to be a fast serving, efficient and flexible corporate banking unit. The customer base consists of small and medium enterprises, large corporate clients and high net worth individuals. The Bank is a participant in the Depositor Compensation scheme established under the Laws of Malta. The Scheme is based on the EU Directive 94/19 on deposit-guarantee schemes.
