NBM Railways

New Brunswick & Maine Railways (NBM Railways) is a short line railroad that consist of three railways New Brunswick Southern Railway (NBSR), Eastern Maine Railway (EMR) and Maine Northern Railway (MNR). We have direct interchange connections to three railways, Canadian National Railways (CN) in Saint John and Saint-Leonard, NB, Pan Am Railways (Pan Am) in Mattawamkeag, ME and Maine, Central Maine & Quebec Railway (CMQ) in Brownville, ME. We operate three offices and a reload in Northern Maine and one Office and reload in Southern New Brunswick. NBM Railways maintains, owns and operates 549 miles of mainline and yard tracks in New Brunswick and Maine. 1994 - Canadian Pacific Rail (CP) discontinued its rail operations in the Maritimes. 1995 - New Brunswick Southern Railway (NBSR) was born and the wheels were set in motion to build a top-quality transportation solutions provider.
