Neese's Sausage Co.
We are located in Greensboro, NC in the Southeast area of Guilford County, and have been in our current location since 1933. At Neese's, we pride ourselves on being a family business that dates back nearly 100 years when J. T. Neese started selling sausage from a covered wagon. Today, the business is run by the fourth generation of Neese's with the fifth generation on the way. Throughout its history, the family has focused on providing fresh products to a growing following of customers who depend on us for quality and satisfaction. In fact, Mr. Tom Neese Jr.'s efforts to produce the very best quality possible are legendary. To that end, he has a 60-year recorded chart of prime hog costs that guides his purchases. We bet the federal government doesn't have this kind of historic record. The Neeses have always known that keeping the family history preserves their tradition of quality and service. In addition to a half dozen gigantic scrapbooks locked away in the offices, there are several historic vehicles that the family has restored. The most noteworthy is the covered Conestoga wagon Mr. Thede used to deliver sausage around 1905. The family believes that the wagon was in use before then and probably dates to the 1800s. The completely restored 1927 Dodge found its way to the Neese Family from its original owner in Plattsburg, NY. It was finally purchased by the family in 1989 from a man in Flemington, NJ and restored by a Mr. Buckley in Rural Retreat, VA. Neese's 1929 Ford Sedan Delivery was found in a lean-to tobacco barn in Asheboro, NC and bought by a Greensboro, NC family. Later, it was purchased by the Neese family from a manager at a local meat market and was restored in Hillsborough, NC. In its history it was used by American Bakeries for deliveries and later by a plumbing company. Additionally, the family has restored 1966 and 1972 Chevrolet trucks. Both were originally purchased and put into service by Neese's. The company is still seeking related vehicles to restore, and in particular, 1930s and 40s panel trucks. So if you know of any, give us a call or send an email. We'd be glad to hear from you.
