Netcom Kassel Gesellschaft für Telekommunikation mbH was founded in 1997. As a 100% subsidiary of Kasseler Verkehrs- und Versorgungs-GmbH (KVV), it served the group's goals of tapping new business fields through technical innovation and a focus on customer-oriented commercial enterprises. EAM acquired 50 % of the company on 1 April 2016, with 50 % remaining in the hands of the KVV. - Telecoms services are a logical extension of the core business for communal utilities. Power utilities already possess an extensive technical infrastructure that can be effectively harnessed for expansion into the "telecommunication" business field.
