Newport High School

Newport High School provides learners with the opportunity to gain a range of additional qualifications preparing you for life after school, whether this be in further or higher education or employment. We have fantastic new facilities for teaching and learning as well as sports and social activities. We have the latest equipment and technology available and are always updating this. Student council members have the opportunity to shape the way in which they learn and contribute to the whole school through leading on decision making and as part of the Student Voice Leadership Group. We ensure that we develop your independence and allow you to be creative in the way you learn. Our classes are smaller in size than you may be used to giving you more time with your teachers to discuss your progress. If you are already at Newport High School we provide continuity from your GCSE studies. If you are new to our school we ensure you get a full induction and have all the necessary support, information and guidance you need to succeed. We encourage all learners to play a full part in the life of the school, creating a friendly atmosphere where you can feel relaxed in the knowledge that support is at hand whenever you need it. As 6th formers you will be full and active members of our school community.
