Sant Nirankari Mandal

The Sant Nirankari Mission has adopted blood donation as a mass movement. This is to mark a befitting tribute to Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, the former Head of the Mission, who lived and laid down his life for the cause of truth, peace, love, tolerance, human unity and service of mankind. In the Blood Donation Camp organized at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Bamloe, Shimla on May 18, 2014, a total of 235 units of blood were donated. A remarkable enthusiasm was seen amongst the female and male donors assembled in large numbers at the venue of the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Rev Rajwant Kaur Ji, Zonal Incharge, Shimla. Addressing the gathering, she said that blood donation is a selfless service of humanity. With the blessings of Nirankari Baba Ji, the volunteers of the Mission donate blood with great happiness, because the Mission preaches that service to humanity means worship of God. Blood donation drive is one such act, where we see ourselves reaching those in dire need of a life support, which has no substitute. Explaining the role of Sant Nirankari Mission in the field of social welfare, Rev Rajwant Kaur Ji added that besides the spiritual development of human society, the Sant Nirankari Mission is also deeply involved in the service of humanity, through its philanthropic activities, such as organizing blood donation camps, running schools, colleges and hospitals/dispensaries etc. She thanked the Blood Bank Teams for extending their co-operation to make such public welfare activities successful. Dr. Nishi Jaswal from Blood Bank, IGMC Shimla and Dr. Kanchan, In-charge, Blood Bank, KNH Shimla, headed their respective teams to collect the blood from the volunteers. In her speech Dr. Nishi Jaswal praised the spirit exhibited by the Nirankari donors and said that the Sant Nirankari Mission is the largest blood donor organization and fulfils most of the requirement of blood bank by organizing its camps throughout the year in Himachal Pradesh.
