NIST International School
The school now welcomes over 1,500 students of over 50 nationalities and provides all three IB programmes. NIST is governed by the parent-elected NIST International School Foundation and is accredited through the Council of International Schools (CIS) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Recognized worldwide for its progressive approach, the IB programmes provide students with critical 21st century skills. The academic structure emphasizes exploration, risk-taking and trans-disciplinary learning. All students are required to take part in community service activities that encourage them to empathize with others and actively solve issues. NIST also partners with other elite international schools in offering the Global Citizen Diploma, an optional qualification that allows graduates to showcase their strengths in leadership, service and community engagement. In addition to its rigorous academics, NIST provides students with an expansive World Languages Programme and more than 300 extra-curricular activity options. As a founding member of the Bangkok International Schools Athletic Conference (BISAC) and Southeast Asia Student Activity Conference (SEASAC), the NIST Falcons compete against their peers from other top schools in Southeast Asia. NIST is also committed to IT excellence and innovation. Students benefit from MacBook Air computers, iPads, a completely wireless campus, SMART Boards and LCD-equipped classrooms. NIST represents the future of education through its stellar academic achievements, vibrant culture, forward-looking philosophy and expansive resources.
