Noblesville High School
Noblesville Schools provides special education and related services both locally and through the Hamilton, Boone, Madison Special Services Cooperative. Six Hamilton County school corporations and the Frankton-Lapel Community School Corporation in Madison County comprise the co-operative. Before a child is placed in the special education program, the student must undergo individual testing approved by the parent or guardian. Following the testing procedures, a case conference is conducted with the parent or guardian, psychologist, teachers, and administrators. Final written permission from the parent or guardian allows the student to enroll in the special needs program. Noblesville Schools provides an Early Childhood program for children ages 3-5 who are in need of special services. Half-day sessions within the schools offer developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities. The district's Student Assistance Program provides multiple assistance opportunities for students in kindergarten through high school. Counseling support is available to students of all grade levels who may be experiencing difficulties in school. Support groups are available for students at risk for substance abuse, academic failure, and emotional stress from significant changes in the family. The Student Assistance staff also counsels with families and students regarding school attendance issues and drug prevention programs. Drug awareness programs are integral education programs of Noblesville Schools. PaceSetters, an alternative education program, is available to qualifying high school students. The program is housed at the Conner Learning Center south of Noblesville Middle School. The school district offers an English as a New Language after-school program for students and parents learning the English language. With a continual focus on providing a safe learning environment for children, Noblesville Schools provides a school safety specialist who monitors all school safety plans and coordinates safety efforts with the state, city, and county police and fire departments. School health, safety and crisis planning and management, and educational programs at the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center and the Hamilton County Jail also are part of Student Services.
