Nobles Group Homes, Inc. was founded October 3, 1995 by Willie Nobles, Jr. The first facility was certified by the Department of Mental Health/Mental Retardation in October 1995, at 1055 Old Shell Road, Mobile, Alabama 36604 (NGH #1). On October 31, 1995, five consumers were received at this location. Their ages range from 25 to 51. The same five plus one additional resident continues to occupy this facility. This facility is certified for a "Wake Staff. In October of 2000, the second facility located at 254 North Franklin Street Mobile, Alabama 36603, (NGH #2) was certified by the Department of Mental Health/Mental Retardation. In February of 2001, five consumers were received at this location, but were relocated in October 2003 to NGH #4. Their ages range from 24 to 39. This facility is certified for a "Wake Staff. In February of 2001, the third facility located at 611 Sweeney's Lane Mobile Alabama 36617, (NGH #3) was certified by the Department of Mental Health/Mental Retardation. In August of 2001, three consumers were received at that location and they remain to this date. Their ages range from 25 to 47. This facility also requires a "Wake Staff. In August of 2002, the fourth facility, located at 609 Sweeney Lane, Mobile, AL. 36617, (NGH #4) was certified by the Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. In October of 2003, consumers from NGH #2 were relocated to NGH #4. These five plus one additional consumer continues to reside at this location. Nobles Group Homes, Inc. is expanding. We are presently completing requirements for license with The Department of Human Resources, where we will provide residential services for young children and/or young adults. NGH #2 has been modified to fit the needs of young children and/or young adults and is presently awaiting verification for license with The Department of Human Resources. NGH #5 is presently being modified for the purpose of being certified through the Department of Human Resources. Projected completion of this facility is June of 2004. NGH #6 is also being modified for the same purpose as NGH #5. Expected completion of this facility is September 2004. Site visits/facility inspections by State Department Officials find this agency always earning an overall score sufficient to warrant continued certification for a two year periods, at each facility. Services offered to consumers are: basic living skill training including behavioral education, money management, social skills, shopping, and personal hygiene; transportation provided for all appointments and visits; supportive services to individuals as agreed in their treatment plan; mental health consultation with DMH; and the monitoring of medication and administration on hand to meet the needs of consumers. These services are offered at the above mention group homes.
