On behalf of the Northside Fire District and F.B. Peck Hose Company, I would like to thank you for visiting our webpage. This site has been created for future membership opportunities and for informational purposes for the community. Our department is a close-knit hardworking family who's never ending task is to protect the residents within the Town of Waterford. Throughout the many years, this department has been faced with many difficult tasks. Answering 200-300 calls per year; our 35 active members have dedicated their time through pure devotion to the community. The one trait a volunteer firefighter must possess is unselfishness. To answer the call when others are in need, giving up precious time away from their friends and family, is a true testament to volunteerism. We are very proud of what we have done, who we are, and what we do when helping our fellow neighbors. F.B. Peck Hose Company (Northside Fire District) proudly protects 4000 people living in an area of four square miles. We operate out of one station that protects a primarily residential area. Founded in 1886, the Fire Company has had three buildings to call home. In 1997 the Fire Company moved into its new modern building constructed on the previous building's parking lot. The new building has a three bay drive-thru configuration with room for six pieces of apparatus. Within the facility there is a meeting room, district and chief's offices, command center, workout area, full kitchen, three bathrooms, work room, wash room, and a firefighter's room. We currently have four piece's of apparatus and a rescue boat that are in service. Also inside our station is a piece of apparatus used for parade details. Today we respond to a wide variety of calls. Besides structure fire fighting, we offer pre-hospital EMS first response free of charge to all residents and patrons within the district. We have some the best medical personnel that respond to EMS emergencies. We also respond to other calls such as: water rescue, ice water rescue, low angle rope rescue, vehicle extrication, utility emergencies, and common service calls such as traffic control, tree removal, basement pump outs, and animal rescues.
