We are a full time, professional, retail florist, founded in 1892 by Frank Norton and passed down from generation to generation of Norton family florists for over 100 years. Austin and Dennis Norton, the fourth and fifth generations respectively, grew the company dramatically in the 80's and 90's, opening branch locations in a "hub and spoke" system and making Norton's one of the first floral companies in the country to computerize nearly every aspect of their operation. In 1998, with the retirement of Dennis Norton, responsibility for the successful flower & gift operation was turned over to his long-time management team, which eventually purchased the chain and runs it in the same, customer-friendly traditon as did five generations of Norton's. Norton's Flowers & Gifts is loyal to the community and proud to be active in local organizations and relief efforts. For decades, Norton's, has enjoyed a respected position as Washtenaw County's premier floral and gift retailer and one of the Top 100 florists in the United States. The dynamic ownership team has combined experience at Norton's and in the flower industry of over 99 years. They operate three flower, card and gift shops in western Wayne County. Norton's affiliation with Teleflora also enables delivery across the nation or around the world. A e-commerce pioneer, Norton's was one of the first florists in the country to establish an order generating website designed for both local and cyber community users.
