Norwegian Refugee Council
Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Oslo, Norway, the Norwegian Refugee Council is an organization that helps people forced to flee. The organization started their relief efforts after World War II and is today assisting more than 8 million people worldwide. As an independent humanitarian organization, NRC provides food assistance, clean water, shelter, legal aid, education and manage camps; all in the aim to promote and protect the rights of people affected by displacement.
