NSG was founded in 1994 as a provider of computer hardware, software, peripherals, LAN and WAN solutions. Our early clients included Baltimore City Public Schools, DC public schools, Montgomery College, Towson University, Virginia Tech, and Washington Metropolitan Airport Authority. But we didn't stop there. 1994 - Seizing on the opportunity by observing many businesses struggling with their IT, NSG was born to provide IT infrastructure, LAN, WAN design, installation and operations support. NSG provides desktops, servers, LAN consulting to private businesses as well as universities, clients ranging from accounting firms, A&E firms, non-profit organizations, churches to schools and community college (Montgomery college, Towson State University, BCPS, DC Public schools ...), and local governments (Baltimore City, MD State, Fairfax county).1998 - Seeing a need in the industry for shortage of trained technology professionals, NSG signs up with Microsoft to become a certified training provider. With unemployment rate high at the time, NSG teams up with MD state higher education to become state accredited training center and teams up with local counties and Department of labor to trained unemployed workforce in IT. NSG creates highly sought after training certification tracks in programming, Network Engineering, computer technician, Office administrative worker and wiring technician. 2000 - With economic downturn and layoffs, NSG enters Federal government consulting market armed with commercial agility, responsiveness and highly qualified technologists. NSG becomes SBA 8(a) certified. NSG has its first federal government customer with a small six week system administration engagement with USDA Forest Service. 2001 - NSG becomes GSA schedule 70 contract holder. 2002 - NSG gets its first application development contract with USDA FS. NSG uses Oracle's J2EE application server and Oracle database.
