JAKARTA - PT. Nusantara Regas (NR) has very strong commitment to the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles. The Company realized the commitment one of which was through the socialization of GCG to all members of Board of Directors and employees of the Company taking place at JS Luwansa Hotel and Convention Center, Jakarta, Monday (9/29). The activity presented speakers from the Gratification Inspecting Function from Corruption Eradication Commission, they were, Mr. Sugiharto and Mrs. Nyndia. President Director of PT Nusantara Regas Mr. Tammy Meidharma at the occasion explained the objective of the activity implementation, which was to pursue a professional, more transparent and efficient management of the company. "At the end, we expect to see all employees of the company to show strong commitment to the better implementation of the business process, and possesses high morality and respect to the prevailing rules," he said. He added that the socialization also aims at raising high awareness among employees to actively participate in the GCG implementation in the Company. Tammy at the same occasion reported that in the performance book of 2013 the Company in general had performed well as seen in the significant increase in sales volume against the sales performance of the previous year. "The achievement proved our commitment to the implementation of good corporate governance principles," he confirmed. He also said that the GCG implementation in the company is more than compliance to government's requirement but also a necessity. "That is to add values to the stakeholders, particularly the shareholders, employees, customers, public, government and the country," he said. Also in the event, Corporate Secretary of PT Nusantara Regas added that the socialization of GCG implementation was a routine program for members of Board of Directors, management, and employees of the Company, aiming at preventing "Gratification, bribery, and extortion. Good governance therefore is not a requirement but one of top priorities to help us shape the company to be a reliable, highly profitable, leading, growing and reputable organization." Mr. Sugiharto acting as our source from Corruption Eradication Commission explained that the socialization of GCG implementation should be publicly recognized, not only by Pertamina and PGN as the shareholders. Preventing such negative issues must be top priority for the Company rather than taking action against it. The socialization activity took participated of all members of the Board of Directors and the employees totaling 60 persons. The activity was the second event held by the Company so far in 2014. The socialization activity was also part of the Board's commitment to the implementation of the company's business in the right and appropriate manner as required by Good Governance Principles as in the Minister of State Enterprises' Decree No. Per-01/MBU/2011 dated 6 June 2011 concerning Good Corporate Governance. The management of the Company consistently makes effort to run the company with respect to the principle of Transparency in the decision making process and in the disclosure of relevant information and being honest; principle of Accountability of the function that ensures an effective business management; principle of Responsibility for the compliance against applicable regulations and healthy corporate principles; principle of Independency on the role mandated and managed professionally by avoiding conflict of interests from any parties; principle of Fairness to act with respect to equality and fairness in fulfilling the rights and the interests of the stakeholders.
