Headquartered in Albany and founded in 1949, NYSHFA is a statewide professional association of more than 280 member facilities which span the continuum of long-term care. The membership includes skilled nursing facilities, adult homes, assisted living residences, individual and multi-facility operations of proprietary, voluntary and government sponsorship. NYSHFA members, who care for nearly 45,000 New Yorkers, are dedicated to the highest standards of care and quality of life of their residents. NYSHFA is an affiliate of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL).
