Oak Care Ltd aims to provide for the personal and social needs of all its Residents. In addition, it will make appropriate arrangements for other health needs, and aims to promote and maintain safety, independence and self-fulfillment in accordance with their wishes, within a group living setting. To meet this aim, a number of objectives have been set, which form part of the Company's Operational Philosophy of Care. * Provide Residents with a homely atmosphere, which is as non-clinical as possible. * Encourage family and friends to visit. * Provide opportunities for Residents to determine their lifestyle wherever possible. * Organise and promote a range of activities for recreational, cultural and social stimulation. * Develop links with the local community to encourage involvement with activities in the Home. * Encourage Residents to participate in the daily arrangements of the Home. * Periodically assesses, and reviews the physical, medical, social and psychological needs of each Resident. * Encourage a staff ethos, which promotes privacy, dignity and self- respect of all Residents. * To assist with the transition to another Care environment if the situation should arise. * To only override the wishes of a Resident, if there is an unacceptable risk to the Resident, or other Residents within the Home.
