Oakwood City School District

Oakwood City School District

Established in 1982, The Oakwood Schools Foundation enhances excellence in education by facilitating grants, scholarships and funding for special projects to benefit students of Oakwood schools. These diverse and distinctive opportunities go above and beyond the reach of the District's normal operating budget, and are made possible thanks to the generous support of alumni, community members, parents and friends. The Oakwood City School District is a small educational system, yet it provides great opportunities and a top-quality student experience. Oakwood is consistently recognized as one of the best districts in our city, our state and our nation. The Oakwood Schools Foundation is proud to play a role in sustaining this high level of excellence and opportunity by supporting emerging educational opportunities and initiatives that might not otherwise be funded. The Oakwood Schools Foundation is led by community volunteers, many of whom are alumni of Oakwood City Schools. All bring passion for our schools and our students to their roles on the Foundation's Board of Trustees. The Foundation is a component fund of The Dayton Foundation, dedicated to providing a broad spectrum of services to not-for-profit organizations who work to improve our region's quality of life.
