We are committed to protecting fundamental human rights and achieving social justice. In line with this commitment, we provide our services in good faith and endeavor to maintain social order and to improve the legal system. To contribute to society, we also take an active part in various pro bono activities such as legal aid activities, including those organized by the Japan Federation of Bar Associations and other local and international bar associations. We also provide legal consultation and other legal services through arrangements with such bar associations or local governments, or pursuant to court appointments. We also cooperate with universities and law schools in providing practical training and education. We are likewise constantly cooperating with governments and government-affiliated corporations in various legal research projects, and provide support in developing the legal systems in developing countries.
