The first professionally administered institute of higher education in Uttarakhand dedicated to management and technology credentials and expertise; it continues its legacy of excellence in providing "value-based" education. In 2005, the President of Omkarananda Ashram Himalayas, Swami Vishveshwarananda accepted "The Pride of Uttaranchal Award" for the outstanding contributions of the Omkarananda Ashram and its Charitable Trusts to the field of education, specifically in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
