Our Indigenous Traditions (O.I.T.) is an Indigenous Clothing Brand, who handcrafts most of our products. The O.I.T. mission is to build awareness and showcase Indigenous Culture with the utmost respec...t to communities. To educate and learn from one another, whether it's from Tribe-to-Tribe or Tribal-to-Non Tribal. Get to know us: We started OIT when I (Yendi) saw there were not that many options for women and men to wear appropriate and cute clothes for Pow Wows. When Johnny was always teaching and educating about Native Culture, the idea was to just share it more on a broader range. Then, Johnny earned his Northern Traditional Bustle and was making the switch from Grass. He asked me to make his Northern Regalia in the picture. I had a little-to-none sewing experience, I learned how to sew everything by trial and error. Cutting my own clothes, headbands, scarfs. Put both Ideas together and the Brand of OIT was Created.
