Optichrome
Optichrome has underpinned its commitment to continual operational improvement by investing in the KODAK COLORFLOW Software Pro with KODAK Ink Optimizing Solution. "With KODAK COLORFLOW Software Pro, we wanted to improve colour consistency across our digital and litho print processes," comment Natalie Stephens, Optichrome's Group Managing Director. "We wanted to make that simpler and easier. We also wanted to ensure that, as far as our clients are concerned, there is no difference in the print results between the litho and digital presses. We believe KODAK COLORFLOW Pro Software will help us achieve that." Matt Burford, Optichrome Technical and Quality Assurance Director adds, "We expect to achieve a significant ROI in the coming 12 months. It will help us maximise efficiencies from start to finish." KODAK Ink Optimizing Solution was chosen to help reduce the amount of ink used as Mr Burford explains, "Less ink will be carried on the press and this will give better consistency but it will also help improve drying times and make finishing a lot quicker. This will mean reduced turnaround times." The print service provider's investment supports its recent EMAS accreditation comments Ms Stephens, "The ability to reduce the amount of ink we use will help us further minimise our environmental impact and improve our sustainability."
