Optit was founded in 2007 as an academic spin-off of the Operations Research group of Alma Mater University of Bologna which has obtained a high international visibility during more than thirty years of research. In 2010 the management team of Optit was enriched with new expertizes in management consulting, leading Optit to become a recognized player in the development of innovative Decision Support System based on state-of-the-art forecasting, analytics, simulation and optimisation tools.
