We had a dream of a place of pilgrimage both in gastronomic and cultural sense around the beautiful valley of the Szala brook. A dream of a community center for locals preserving traditions, and a 21st century class bistro at the same time. A place worth visiting from even quite a long distance. The starting point was the thought of a traditional Hungarian dance house based on the plans of Gábor U. Nagy, an Ybl Miklós Prize awarded architect that has been enlarged with a modern kitchen and a contemporary designed dining room. For us, Pajta symbolizes the harmony of man and nature both with its design and intrinsic values. Our gastronomy is based on local produce, our partners for supplying raw materials serve us with fresh goods in all seasons. The innovative chef of Pajta has been trained by Michelin-starred masters, he focuses on local gastronomic traditions with an experimenting attitude. Our family has created this peaceful destination to provide an opportunity of recharging, slowing down and being together for both locals and guests from afar, all in the romantic, clean and natural spirit of the place fitting way. Pajta is open to everyone. Families, couples, hikers, cyclist popping in for a cup of coffee, gourmets desiring to an intimate lunch are all welcome.
