ParaQum is a research centric company based in Colombo, Sri Lanka with a young and motivated team focusing on niche technology areas such as Video Compression (HEVC) and Real-Time Network Analytics. Our enterprise to excel in our domains of expertise is reinforced by becoming the first to achieve real-time 4K HEVC decoder on FPGA. We broke the clock frequency barrier to run 4K HEVC decoder at less than 150 MHz. Our current efforts are directed primarily at following areas: Semiconductor IP Core development in High Efficiency Video Coding - HEVC (or H.265) and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) End to end links for digital video broadcasting 10/40 Gbps Hardware Accelerated Real-time Network Analytic Engine for Service Providers 1Gbps Network monitoring and enforcing appliance for small-medium scale enterprises ParaQum Technologies was founded in 2013 as a part of an initiative by the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka; to expand the Electronics Industry within Sri Lanka. A key objective of this initiative was to make Electronics a significant contributor to national economy and exports. We, at ParaQum, are determined to become an integral contributor to realize this goal. We want to be at the forefront in Video Compression and Networking domains by using seemingly complex technologies to make products that deliver substantial value to our customers establishing ParaQum as a global brand in these domains.
