Parat

Parat is an independent non-party political union for employees. We are affiliated to the main union, YS ("Yrkesorganisjonenes Sentralforbund"). Parat was established in Jan 2005 following the amalgamation of the YS unions 2fo, "Flerfaglig FellesOrganisasjon" and PRIFO "Privatansattes Fellesorganisasjon". Parat has almost 30,000 members and is a modern, robust and powerful employees' union for all sectors of working life. Any employee regardless of profession, branch or sector, may be a member of Parat. The largest member groups within the union come from the private and state sector. The fact that we operate within all professions, branches and sectors means that Parat is able to assist its members throughout their working life.
