Preston Bicycle Repair is probably the smallest bike shop around, with very few square feet to spare! However that doesn't stop us from stocking a full range of bicycle repair parts and accessories. And, since we deal with a wide range of vendors, we can get anything we don't have within a day or two! There is one thing, however, that we don't have: the overhead of paying rent on a great big place! Because of that lack of overhead, it is possible for us to keep our labor rates low, and our bang for the buck can't be beat! For instance, a tune-up at most places costs $140 if you have the chain removed and cleaned - here the standard $95 tune-up includes that service! Additionally, we offer an early bird service for those who have to be to work early. You can leave your bike here in the morning with your name and number, and we'll call you when we look at the bike, to talk about what it needs. Why are we here? It's simple: to help people ride their bikes! A properly tuned bike that fits you is a joy to ride, not to mention the physical, psychological, and financial benefits of cycling. It's great for your cardiovascular and general health. There's nothing like a good workout to clear your mind and get you centered again. And, every time you ride your bike somewhere, versus driving, you are saving money on fuel, tires, oil etc. and even doing the planet a little favor.
