Panhandle Community Services

PCS is proud to be a sponsor site for the AmeriCorps*VISTA Program. VISTA members will work with Panhandle Community Services to build capacity in our organization and to help alleviate poverty in our communities. AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) provide full-time members to nonprofit, faith-based, and other community organizations, and public agencies to create and expand programs that bring low-income individuals and communities out of poverty. They focus their efforts to build the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of organizations that fight illiteracy, improve health services, foster economic development, and otherwise assist low-income communities. AmeriCorps VISTA members live and serve in some of our nation's poorest urban and rural areas. VISTAs serve with passion, commitment, and hard work, to create or expand programs designed to bring individuals and communities out of poverty.
