PDG was founded in 1992 by Mrs. Fariba Sadeghpour, P.E., and has been providing civil engineering, survey, landscape design, environmental engineering, project management, and inspections to wide variety of clients. Our combined staff's experience is more than ten times the company experience with expertise in land development, drainage, utility design, transportation, survey, and construction stake out. Survey: Our survey crews are very familiar with Prince William County's existing center lines and survey requirements, and they have been preparing survey maps, plats, and title surveys using these existing monuments and centerlines throughout the County. We are highly experienced in Boundary, R.O.W., Base Line, Topographical Map, Monumentation, Construction Stake Out, and As-Built surveys. We use the state-of-the-art survey equipment and software. Our global positioning system (GPS) capabilities will enhance the productivity and efficiency of the survey services provided for you. Our survey teams are also expert in R.O.W. acquisition plats, easement plats, dedication plats and necessary land record research. We have performed several projects within the County limits which required various types of easement and subdivision plats. Public Facility Improvement Projects: Our staffs are fully experienced with Public Facility Projects such as schools. We have been providing studies and reports for evaluation of such facilities. Our reports and studies included but not limited to feasibility studies, code compliance, site studies, and evaluation of existing infrastructures. Our staff is experienced in the engineering and design of water distribution systems, water treatment facilities, sewer collection systems, sewer treatment plants, fire and safety improvements, roadways, intersection improvements, turn lanes, utility relocation and design, pavement design, streetscape plans, bike path design, sidewalk design, roadway widening and roadway relocation. Our staff is also highly experienced with drafting and engineering software such as AutoDesk Land Development Desktop software. Site Plan and Minor Site Plan: We specialize in engineering services for land development-related projects throughout Virginia, particularly in Prince William County. We have been in charge of managing, coordinating and obtaining final approval for a variety of projects that required site plans, minor site plans and plats. For a number of the projects, PDG has been responsible for a complete project cycle from site evaluation all the way to final site or minor site plan approval and construction administration. Some of the services that we have provided to our clients are Feasibility Study, Site Planning, Rezoning, Land Use Permits, Preparation of Final Site Plans, Storm Water Management, Erosion and Sediment Control Pans, Easement or Record Plats, and Landscaping Plans. Drainage Improvements: Being involved in land development project in urban areas, we have gained extensive experience in planning, engineering, design and preparation of construction plans for variety of drainage improvement projects. Our projects range from small stream improvements to major regional ponds and flood plain studies. We are also fully experienced with VDCR and EPA requirements for Stormwater Management Permitting. Hydraulics and Hydrology: We have extensive expertise and experience to provide the storm water run off modeling and computation for any size watershed and any type of culvert or bridge crossing. We are capable of providing design, analysis and computations for bridge score assessment, 10, 25, 50 and 100-year flood plain studies, storm water quality and quantity management, dam bridge analysis, and storm water conveyance system. Our staffs are fully experienced with MS-19 and MS-4 requirements. Landscaping Plan: We have extensive expertise and experience to provide landscape design, landscape planning, irrigation design and planning, landscape plans, hardscape design, preparation of site rendering both in site and 3 dimensional views. Permit and Plan Approval Processing:As part of our services we offer preparation of permit applications and packages for processing the construction permits and plan approvals through various agencies including VDOT, State Water Control Board, Wet Land Permits, and Virginia Department of Health. Our staff is fully familiar with VDOT road acceptance requirements. Right of Way Acquisition Services: PDG has been assisting our clients in obtaining preparation of standard easement and right of way agreements and deeds, identifying the property owners, identifying mortgage companies, identifying all other parties that would have vested rights to the property, obtaining signatures, recordation of the deeds, and notification to all parties involved. Construction Testing and Inspection and Contract Administration Services: PDG has been involved in construction testing and inspection services for variety of projects. Our responsibilities included inspection and testing of all site related works, inspection of footings, foundation walls, backfill, pre-pure inspection of concrete, post-pure inspection of concrete, critical structure inspection, soil testing, infiltration testing, compaction testing, attending preconstruction meetings, coordination of inspection and testing, review of the test report, preparation of recommendation, daily site visit, preparation of progress reports, and preparation of inspection certifications. Our staff is fully knowledgeable of Prince William County DCSM and critical structure requirements. PDG has been involved in several contract administration and construction management projects. Geotechnical Analysis- PDG has been involved in the preparation of geotechnical studies, testing and providing sound recommendation that will enhance the quality of construction as well as keeping the project's cost within budget. Our responsibilities range from soil mapping and infiltration testing to highly complicated slope failure analysis and recommendation for retrofit. Our team is capable of design, detail and analysis of foundation walls, retaining walls, slab design and various embankment and dam design. Environmental Planning, Engineering, Testing and Studies - PDG has been involved in preparation of wetland delineation and studies, water quality impact assessment, water quality and quantity management facilities for a variety of municipal, residential, and commercial projects. PDG is one of the pioneers of design and implementation of Rain Garden and Bio-retention facilities in Northern Virginia. PDG has also been involved in design and implementation of several on site treatment facilities for school projects. We are fully automated and capable of electronic data transfer. We are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and software that would be used for the Survey, Engineering and Management and Communication of your projects.
