Power Diagnostix Systems
Power Diagnostix Systems GmbH provides high-quality instruments and engineering services for high-voltage diagnostic applications. Having started with DG Instruments GmbH in 1986, the company has built a solid reputation in the field of special measurement and monitoring devices for high voltage and pulse power engineering. Since the market introduction of the partial discharge detectors in early 1993, nearly 2000 digital PD detectors have been sold in total. The Power Diagnostix Group is privately owned and headed by Detlev Gross and Markus Soeller. During the past eighteen years, Power Diagnostix grew steadily and established an increasing network of agents and representatives worldwide. Please contact Power Diagnostix to get in touch with our representative in your area. The ICMseries of digital partial discharge detectors is used for the evaluation of electrical insulation systems by utilities, service providers, manufactures, and research institutes worldwide. The partial discharge detectors and related instruments are used in high voltage labs, for on-site measurements, and for continuous on-line monitoring of high voltage equipment. OEM versions of the instruments are also supplied to manufacturers of high voltage test sets. Besides the range of digital partial discharge detectors, Power Diagnostix produces control instruments for modernization of high voltage laboratories, automatic HV control systems, instruments for commissioning test of high voltage equipment including GIS (Gas-Insulated-Systems) systems, and devices for fiber optic transmission of analog signals in harsh environments. Furthermore, Power Diagnostix operates a calibration laboratory, which has received the accreditation as calibration laboratory within DKD (German Calibration Service, Deutscher Kalibrierdienst) by 2003. The audit was held by PTB (Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt), the German authority of standards. In January 2012, Power Diagnostix passed to the newly introduced German accreditation authority DAkkS (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle). The new accreditation is filed under D-K-15068-01-00. All Power Diagnostix' instruments, their hardware, embedded software, and graphical user interfaces are developed and manufactured in-house in Aachen (Aix la Chapelle, Aquisgrana) in Germany. In 1999, Power Diagnostix moved to the then newly erected office building at Bruesseler Ring. Offering plenty of space in the beginning, in the meantime, due to steady growth in production and turnover, the space offered by this building, increasingly limited further expansion. Thus, in early 2007 decision was made to again erect a new building. Finding and buying suitable ground took longer than expected. Planing and obtaining approval took further time. However, construction started in autumn 2008 and moving to the new site is took place December 2009. The new office building, a six-story solitaire of 26m height, offers more than 2000m² space and greatly improves our possibilities. The new location is less than 2km away from Power Diagnostix' previous address. Aside, please find a movie of the construction period, the planned appearance of the new building as well as the current situation as seen by a web cam.
