Performance Irrigation

Originally, "Performance Irrigation" was formed in September 1998 by Todd Szymanski with one truck, determination, and a work ethic handed down from a family with strong values. In the beginning, with strong support from his wife Heather, and a hard working family not afraid to get in the trenches, the company grew quickly acquiring employees, trucks, and equipment. As the company began getting requests and saw opportunities in the marker to add services, this eventually lead to their incorporation of Performance Lighting & Irrigation, Inc. in 2003. After outgrowing several previous business locations, they would eventually build their current offices in Smyrna TN back in 2006 and recently expanded doubling the space at the end of 2011. In the beginning, irrigation certainly wasn''t a new concept to the Todd. - He has been around and involved in construction since he was very young installing sprinkler systems with his father all the way back in 1979. Coming from Southern California, by way of Chicago, IL, he was accustomed to irrigation systems being a standard for proper lawn maintenance; however, in the early days of the company, few homes in Tennessee were utilizing sprinkler systems. Literally, one project at time the company has grown consistently since inception due to strong beliefs in honesty and professionalism. With an extremely dedicated and loyal group of employees willing to take on the current economy with not only sweat and some tears, but believing they can forge ahead to carve out a niche in the market place so they have been implementing CAD design services and new technologies in "Smart Watering". PLI is not limited to single family residential, all of our services are applied to apartment complexe's, commercial sites, even government agencies trust PLI along with some of the largest HOA communities in Middle Tennessee. We are very aware that dedicated employees are key continue to grow and maintain the company's success. The owners would like to acknowledge the entire staff's hard work and long hours put in each week to help keep the company a leader in the industry.
