Prince George Electric Cooperative

Prince George Electric Cooperative, headquartered in Waverly , Virginia, is a not-for-profit member-owned electric provider that serves more than 11,000 homes, farms and businesses in the counties of Dinwiddie, Isle of Wright, Prince George, Southampton, Surry, Sussex, and sections of the Town of Waverly. Incorporated in 1938, PGEC was as a vision of improved quality of life by providing access to electric power in the rural communities. The Cooperative has grown from that early vision and now serves a wide range of residential and commercial member-owners in 6 counties. Prince George Electric Cooperative continues to invest in technology and infrastructure ensuring reliable, cost effective electricity to meet the demand of an ever-growing service territory.
