Phage Directory
our mission is to accelerate the use of phages (the class of viruses that target bacteria) so we can use them to eliminate the threat of antibiotic resistance. phages are personalized antimicrobials, so leveraging them is logistically challenging. but when harnessed, they can form a safety net hospitals and governments can rely on when antibiotics fail. we’re building the operating system for personalized phage therapy — the comprehensive playbook for maximizing the success rate of phage therapy. right now, this includes tools for physicians and medical centers to source phages for urgent patient infections (3 cures to date), data collection tools for learning from phage data (combining in vitro and in-human data to maximize insights about what works), and tools for phage researchers to efficiently manage, study, share and get credit for the phages they collect and make available for patient treatments (1000+ researchers collecting 10k+ phages across 40+ countries). currently,
