Phoenix Building Components is an exclusive wholesale distributor of Anthony-Domtar Wood I- joists throughout the province of Ontario. Anthony-Domtar is a relatively new joint venture between two large industry players - Anthony Forest Products Company, and Domtar Inc. The partnership began with the construction of an industry leading I-joist manufacturing facility located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The powerjoist product is a high quality solid flange I-joist, and upholds both companies commitment to using lumber to its highest strength and potential, while also offering an environmentally sound alternative to large dimension lumber joists. The Power Joist product contains all relevant approvals for use in both Canada (CCMC 13053-R) and the United States to serve your engineered wood building needs. Anthony Forest Products is a family-owned business, founded in 1916, and headquartered in El Dorado, Arkansas. The company operates lumber and wood chip mills, as well as two engineered wood laminating plants in the southern US. It has 35 years of solid experience in manufacturing engineered wood products. Domtar is one of the largest producers of paper in North America, and manages according to internationally recognized standards 22 million acres of forestland in Canada and the United States. With this vast supply of resources, Domtar produces lumber and other wood products - contributing its expertise in mills management and bringing a reliable supply of MSR lumber to the joint venture.
