Phuket Soccer Schools (PSS) is a community based football school dedicated to improve both individual skills and develop team play, with your child's safety being paramount. Through our various programs players will experience exciting / fulfilling and educational sessions which are aimed to enhance their natural development but at the same time build self-esteem, evolve lasting relationships, and promote good behavior. PSS is a great way for boys and girls of all abilities to evolve within the world's most popular game. PSS coaching philosophy is built around small sided games (SSG). SSGs can involve any number of players from 1v1 to 11v11. SSG creates more opportunities to play in different positions, where more touches of the ball are guaranteed. Players therefore will be more involved, receiving a more fulfilling football experience and grasp a greater understanding of positioning. Phuket Soccer Schools (PSS) has over time incorporated new ideas, philosophies and specific training to evolve their own structured coaching curriculum. PSS programs are designed for children (youth players) specific to each age group and ability levels. PSS has developed and use their own branded conventional footballs plus the weighted size 2 skills balls in their programs. PSS always finish their coaching sessions using Small Sided Games (SSG) for maximum involvement, more touches of the ball and opportunities to play in different positions. Parents will see throughout the training an increase in their child's confidence when working within a group. PSS coaching philosophy is built around small sided games (SSG). For younger players, the 11 v. 11 soccer game can be complicated and confusing. Younger players need to learn the concepts of spacing and positional play and they cannot kick the ball very far. SSG's are football matches with any number of players from 1v1 to 11v11. For SSG's to be effective PSS use age appropriate footballs/goals on a smaller sized field. These match ups allow more involvement of the players because fewer players are sharing one ball. All ages can play "Small Sided Games", but it has a definite developmental impact on our younger soccer players. Here are some of the reasons why we believe as co that our young soccer players play small sided games: 1. Because we want our young players to touch the football more often and become more skillful with it (Individual technical development) 2. Because we want our young players to make less complicated decisions during the game! (Tactical development) 3. Because we want our young players to be more efficient in the field space they are playing in! (Reduced field size) 4. Because we want our young players to have more individual learning time with the coach.
