Pacific International Hospital

Pacific International Hospital is the largest stand-alone private hospital in Papua New Guinea (PNG) providing comprehensive care and affordable services since 1997. The 80-bedded hospital is spread across 8000 sqm area with excellent infrastructure and state-of-the art facilities. The New Pacific International Hospital was formally inaugurated on February 13, 2015, by Prime Minister Hon. Peter O'Neill in 3 mile. The new PIH is a modern acute care hospital complex, introducing international standards of patient care and hospital operation in Papua New Guinea. On May 25, 2015 the new PIH has opened its new facility to the public and relocated from the 4 mile hospital to its new 3 mile facility which has brought to the country a modern hospital campus. The 80 beds facility will be further expanding to 150 beds. PIH has the most cutting-edge diagnostic imaging facilities in the country such as 1.5 Tesla-MRI suite, 64-slice CT scanner and a full spectrum of advanced technologies and superior clinical expertise along with country's first chemo-infusion centre for treatment of cancer. The Hospital provides Speciality Services in Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Kidney Transplant, Nephrology, Gastroenterology and Surgical Gastroenterology, Orthopaedics including Spine Surgery and Sports Medicine and comprehensive Mother & Child care, to name a few. PIH houses seven fully equipped emergency beds along with the most modern medical diagnostic and therapeutic equipments for comprehensive and contemporary care of patients.
