Plain English Design

Plain English is a bespoke design company. We specialise in traditional joinery founded on the principles and techniques of 18th and 19th century cabinet makers. Our cupboards are made by skilled joiners in our Suffolk workshops. We do not like plastic gadgets; but pride ourselves on such details as waxed wooden drawer runners, hand turned shelf pegs, baskets woven in River Box willow, and pull-out trays based on those from an 18th century linen press. Whilst made in our Suffolk workshops, Plain English cupboards are enjoyed and cherished in homes all over the world.
