Plasmine Technology, Inc. was founded in 1968 with a single business objective, to provide the best sizing products and technical support to the paper industry. Plasmine is a wholly owned subsidiary of Harima USA of Osaka, Japan and is one of two major suppliers of rosin-based internal sizing additives to the North American Paper Industry. The corporate office is located in Pensacola, Florida with two manufacturing plants located in Bay Minette, Alabama and in Portland Maine. There are also two distribution networks established in the Oregon/Washington and Wisconsin areas. Plasmine Technology, Inc. produces and sells high quality rosin internal sizing agents and various surface treatment additives for the paper and paperboard industries. The core business for the company is the manufacture of rosin based internal sizing additives for the paper industry. Plasmine has the most diverse portfolio of rosin based sizing additives of all rosin sizing suppliers in North America to meet a wide range of wet end operating conditions and paper sizing requirements. Plasmine's assurance of quality is reflected in the product stability of all of our rosin based sizing emulsions. Plasmine strives to deliver our paper and paperboard customers high quality products at the lowest possible price. As such, we are continuously working to develop new products which are more efficient and safer to use. Plasmine has expanded its internal sizing portfolio to include new specialized rosin-based sizing emulsions capable of sizing at near neutral (6.5 to 7.0) pH conditions and Alkyl Ketene Dimer (AKD) cellulose reactive sizes. Plasmine has the manufacturing capabilities to toll manufacture specialized rosin dispersions for specialty applications outside the paper industry. Our innovative research and development and dedicated manufacturing teams are available to develop new products to meet customer needs.
