PME Cake

PME - Precision Machining Engineers Ltd was established in 1956 and is located in South Harrow, England. PME manufactured and designed a wide range of bespoke products, from cigar cutters for Harrods to military equipment for the British Army. When it came to quality, PME has always enjoyed a reputation as 'best-in-class', a major advantage that helped them secure contracts in 1970 with the British Army Catering Corps to manufacture cake decorating equipment; thus sowing the seeds for the company's future vision. Realizing the growth potential in the demand for cake decorating equipment, PME changed its name to PME Sugarcraft Ltd, and devoted its design, engineering and manufacturing expertise to the production of high quality cake decorating equipment including Plunger Cutters, Seamless Stainless Steel Supatubes, Modelling Tools, and a revolutionary design for a Tilting Turntable. In 1999 PME Sugarcraft Ltd merged with Knightsbridge Bakeware Centre to form Knightsbridge PME Ltd (UK) (KPME Ltd). In 2008, PME Arts & Crafts (USA) was established to bring PME products to the United States, and was renamed in 2012 to Knightsbridge Global Ltd (USA). Knightsbridge Global Ltd (USA) provides full service Marketing, Customer Service and Distribution for the PME & JEM Brands to The Americas. JEM Cutters - Established in South Africa, Jem Cutters joined KPME in 2011, thereby adding another dimension and wealth of cake decorating expertise. JEM Cutters as well had an engineering background and has manufactured cake decorating equipment for over 30 years. In addition to cake decorating equipment JEM also has a division specializing in the production of handmade sugar decorations. The JEM manufacturing facility is BRC Certified for Global Standard for Food Safety and is HACCPS Certified by the SABS. Together, with distribution in 60+ countries around the world, the tools, cutters and decorating equipment of both PME and JEM Brands are 'must haves' for most industry professionals, and as well for beginners and aspiring decorators and enthusiasts who are discovering that there are no substitutes when it comes to quality and innovation.
