The PNG Sustainable Development Program

SDP is focussed on providing lasting benefits for the people of Papua New Guinea with our current emphasis on Western Province. We use income from the Long Term Fund (LTF) to pay for our development programs. he LTF is invested carefully to manage the risks; generate income; and preserve the capital to support future generations. Our programs are aligned with the Western Province Five Year Plan: We consult widely to ensure our programs are focussed in the right areas, have the desired impact and are properly aligned and co-ordinated. We are committed to implementing our programs efficiently and effectively by: Maintaining a lean organisation staffed primarily by talented PNG nationals who work from our Port Moresby, Daru and Balimo offices. Acting as a catalyst to "make things happen" by working with partners to deliver our initiatives; bring fresh ideas; and contribute co-funding. We are committed to good governance and transparency. It is also important for our programs to have a training and employment impact.
