Poll Sound
Poll, whose father was an architect, had a passion for tinkering with technology. He created many of his own microphones and amplifiers, since audio equipment was scarce at the time. Poll's original storefront, located at 1099 S. State Street in Salt Lake City, was the first store of its kind in the region. Deward Timothy purchased Poll Sound in 1974. Timothy, a longtime employee of Poll's, moved the business to its current site in 1987, and expanded the company to St. George, Utah in 2006. These new locations further positioned the company as the state's premier supplier of audio and visual equipment and services. Having grown from one to 35 employees, and occupying three buildings at its Salt Lake location, Poll Sound is Utah's preferred source for audio perfection.
