Pope's Place
We serve all children, with a primary focus on those who are medically fragile, disabled, and have special health care needs. Our committed, energetic staff has one main goal: to preserve and maintain the integrity of families challenged by the care of special needs children. Here's an excerpt from one of our patient's parents, people who were able to take their first overnight trip as a couple in over seven years because of the respite center: We adopted our youngest daughter in 1999. It is difficult to find someone for even a few hours who has the skills to take care of her. Because of this, we have not been able to take an overnight trip as a couple for over 7 years. Last month, because of Pope's Kids Place we had the pleasure of two whole evenings away by ourselves to reconnect, recharge, and relax. We just wanted to let you know what a difference your respite facility, your dedicated staff, and United Way have made to our family. We're a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization here to serve you. And while you're here, take a moment to browse through our list of resources that support the needs of children with disabilities and their families.
