Port San Antonio

The public organization is charged with the strategic redevelopment of a vast campus on the site of the former Kelly Air Force Base, whose closure was announced in 1995 and which formally closed in 2001. For more than 20 years, the Port has modernized former military facilities, developed major new industrial and commercial spaces and served as a strategic partner to host and grow key industries in the region, including cybersecurity, aerospace, advanced manufacturing and global logistics. Today the campus is home to over 80 public- and private-sector organization who employ over 13,000 people on the Port campus.
