Positive Planet

Positive Planet International creates sustainable development solutions for marginalized populations, in particular women and youth. It was founded in 1998 by Jacques Attali, an economic theorist and former Special Adviser to French President Francois Mitterand. He is also the author of more than 80 books, with sales of over 9 million copies, translated into 22 languages. Positive Planet operates with a yearly budget of $13.5 million, involved in 45 projects in 26 countries, with 2 million beneficiaries and 290,000 directly impacted in 2019. It has conducted more than 500 projects in 35 different countries, and enabled 11 million beneficiaries to improve their socio-economic situation in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa since 1998.
