Phoenix was founded in 2002 by Samuel W. T. Chu and Benjamin K. Y. Lee. Phoenix endeavors to seize value-oriented opportunities in first-tier Pan-Asian markets, including Greater China, Japan, Australia, Korea and Southeast Asia. We focus on three strategies: opportunistic, core plus/value-add, and secured debt. We have formalized fund-series as well as side-cars and separate accounts. Since its inception, Phoenix has managed over US$11.8 billion of gross real estate assets in the residential, retail, office, hotels, and industrial sectors across 15 Asian cities. The US$11.8 billion consists of US$7.7 billion of current assets under management and US$4.1 billion of gross real estate assets sold or realized, as applicable.
