Publisher Raymond Groves has a genuine affection for Eastbourne and PRG Ltd, his publishing and full service PR and marketing agency, has been trading in the town for nearly 30 years. With the foundations of Towner, Eastbourne's landmark art gallery, about to be laid, he was frustrated by the lack of outlets to inform people about its progress and proposed content. Ray resolved to set up a magazine that would entertain and inform people about the artistic and theatrical events in Eastbourne, and Cultural Quarterly was born. Originally intended to reflect the offering of the town's cultural quarter, where PRG's offices are based, the magazine was embraced by Eastbourne's cultural community from the first issue and immediately grew to encompass all the artistic and theatrical groups and venues in the town. PRG Ltd has been publishing magazines for 15 years. The company's stable of titles includes Cultural Quarterly and LP Gas.
