Pride Houston
Pride Houston is a registered 501(c)3 organization dedicated to devoted strengthening equality and increasing awareness around issues important to the LGBTQIA community, such as health, safety and marriage equality. The organization raises approximately $345,000 annually in sponsorships, $200,000 in special events, and $15,000 in scholarships for LGBTQIA youth. Each year Pride Houston hosts and facilitates a festival and parade, commemorating the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City. With approximately 750,000 attendees, 800 volunteers, and 17,500 hours devoted to planning and organizing, the Houston Pride Celebration is the largest nighttime Pride parade in the Southwest United States.
