Promemoria is an Italian heritage agency, which works with companies and cultural institutions for the strategic promotion of their historical asset. Promemoria operates alongside the companies, helping them to transform their collections and their history into an important tool for communication and international competitiveness: Promemoria plans «heritage departments» for important companies and multinationals and creates digital historical archives regarding sport, art and publishing. Thanks to its cross-curricular staff, specialized in the different fields of cultural heritage management, Promemoria is able to develop for its partners full-spectrum projects and customized solutions. Researchers, archivists, computer technicians, graphics, video-makers, copywriters and social media managers form a group of thirty experts which combine archival work with sensibility for design, passion for new technologies and attention to details, within the absolute respect for deadlines and budget. "The model we propose shifts the focus from the concept of historical archive to heritage department model, where the needs of preservation and protection are only the starting point of a much more ambitious vision on how to use the heritage and envisages investments and brand heritage actions with medium and long-term concrete outcome." This means that our working group has not only the task to preserve, but also to transform history and past into a resource and a competitive asset for a company.
