PRONIA provides direct services to the Australian Greek community throughout metropolitan Melbourne. Direct services include: generalist case work, family and marital counselling, information provision (income support, social security, health settlement issues), advocacy and referral, financial assistance, consultations, community development and community education. The Family & Community Services Unit provides direct services to individual, families and group support programs addressing the various needs of the community. There are no fees or restrictions to accessing casework services. Access to services is by self-referral or referral by family/relatives, other services and professionals. Casework services are accessible from the head office in Brunswick (4 Days per week). PRONIA operates a 50-place childcare centre, ALPHA Children's Centre. The centre provides a bilingual and multicultural program and draws children from the surrounding municipalities and throughout the Metropolitan area. Alpha Children's Centre is situated at 8 Corsair Street Richmond. It operates Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 p.m. The dedicated caregivers responsible for the overall physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth and development of young children attending the centre are committed to preparing the children for their future life in a changing multicultural society.
