Purebaby is proud to be the first Australian company to join the global initiative MADE-BY in its quest to make sustainable fashion 'common practice'. MADE-BY is an independent consumer label for sustainably produced fashion, helping businesses to improve the ecological, economic and social conditions of their production process and encouraging suppliers to source sustainable materials such as organic cotton. MADE-BY helps brands to develop socially responsible production chains, build a plan for the future, and give consumers a wide choice of fashion products made with respect for people and our planet. Purebaby's founder and Creative Director, Mirabai Winford says their company is dedicated to being 100% accountable and transparent. "We are proud to be the first Australian company to comply with the MADE-BY standards and stand by the fact we are a socially responsible business with respect for people and the environment", she says. Purebaby is also taking part in MADE-BY's Tracking and Tracing program which allows consumers to trace the manufacturing process and establish the origin of each individual garment. Our customers will be able to trace the manufacture of their garment online, from the farmer who produced the organic cotton right through to purchase" says Ms Winford.
