The Ponte Vecchio West H.O.A
WE CARE is a volunteer program, run under the auspices of RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program). It is designed to offer our residents needed services through a volunteer network in our own community. It is neighbors helping neighbors (which so many of us already do) and friends helping friends. Florida's wonderful climate has long invited retirees. So many of us have moved far away from family and friends, the support systems on which we previously depended. As we age, support systems become more important. Something as simple as a ride to the doctor can present a major obstacle for seniors. The basic support services provided through a WE CARE program may truly help some of our neighbors maintain their independence. We can provide transportation to local medical appointments when you have no other alternative. We can help with pharmacy and grocery errands for someone who is homebound. We can provide short-term loan of medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, and commodes). For more information about our services, or to become a WE CARE volunteer, please contact Barbara Spears.
